Classes
You can now register for any class right here on our website. If you find a class you like, just click on reserve your seat to purchase. You can still register by coming into the shop. If you have any questions, feel free to call us at 801-692-7127 or send us an email to tiawna@thequilterscrossing.com.
Patterns are required for every attendee of a class requiring the pattern. You can grab optional kits by clicking the link or coming into the shop.
Note: Classes with less than 3 people registered may be rescheduled or canceled. If we cancel a class, you will be fully refunded. Cancelations by attendees must be made at least 7 days in advance to receive a refund, but please give us as much notice as you can so we can try to fill your spot.
Open Sew
Come and sew!! Bring a friend, or come to make new friends. Bring a project to work on, your sewing machine, basic supplies, and a lunch. We provide a cutting mat, ironing boards and irons. Click the link to see current available dates.

Sew Along with Nancy Edwards
March 20th, 27th, April 10th, and 17th from 10 am to 1 pm.
Nancy will be instructing you on two or three of the blocks per class (you will complete other similar blocks at home as homework). At the end of the four sessions you should have a finshed or almost finished quilt.

Spring and Easter Banners

Make Spring and Easter banners with us. We will finish one and get through at least half of the second. The pattern has 4 designs, you will be making two of them. Three different sizes, so any size hoop will work.
Fee includes class and kit for two banners.

Table Runner - Grid Piecing
Thursday, March 30th from 12 pm to 3 pm
Instructor: Lacie Messerly
Join Lacie as she teaches you how to use your fabric stash or scraps to make a fantastic table runner with the Ten Sisters piecing grid. The Ten Sisters Piecing Grid allows you to create a traditional "quilt" in a non-traditional way.

Simple Mini Duffle
Tuesday, April 11th from 1 pm to 5 pm.
Instructor: Shelley Taylor
If you are new to bag making, the Simple Mini Duffle is just the right size. We will discuss the basics of bag making from how to use stabilizers, sewing machine needles, what kind of thread to use, zippers and notions. Pick up your pattern and start gathering supplies. You will want to make more than one. There will be some prep before class. See you in class!

Foundation Paper Piecing Watermelon

Spoonful of Sunshine 1-Day Kimberbell Event

At Kimberbell’s Spoonful of Sunshine event, you will learn fresh techniques, create four projects, and enjoy the happy company of other machine embroidery enthusiasts.
You will make an apron, tea towel, and mini wreath.

Project Bag
Tuesday, April 25th from 10 am to 1 pm

Who doesn’t need a good Project Bag! Project Bags are very helpful in keeping your sewing or handwork projects organized. Having the vinyl window is helpful to see what is inside. If you haven’t worked with vinyl, I will give you tips and tricks sewing the vinyl. The pattern has different sizes so you can choose what works for you. There will be some prep for class. Start gathering your supplies and I will see you in class.

Clam Up Bag
Tuesday, May 2nd from 5 pm to 8 pm
Instructor: Shelley Taylor
The Clam Up bag is a fun shape to make. The bag opens wide to make it easy to see inside. There are five sizes in the pattern to choose from and they all fit inside of each other. I will give you tips on how to sew a zipper on the curve and topstitching. With a little bit of fabric, soft and stable and a zipper you will have the cutest bag ever! There will be some prep before class. See you in class!

Aster Quilt

Join Teresa as she shows you the tips and tricks of the Aster Quilt pattern. This is a beautiful quilt that you can make in several different sizes. Grab FQ's from your favorite fabrics to make this beautiful quilt.

Binding 101
Thursday, May 11th from 5:30 to 8:30 pm
Instructor: Teresa Porter
We will be covering the basics from prepping your quilt for binding, cutting bias strips to
straight grain. Along with learning the techniques of mitering corners. We also cover how to
join the ends so you can’t tell where you started. Machine stitching to hand sewing and what to watch for as you sew your bindings on your quilt.
Fee includes class fee and all fabric needed for the class.

Crowning Glory Quilt

Binding 102
Thursday, June 22nd from 5:30 to 8:30
Instructor: Teresa Porter
Binding 101 is required before you can take Binding 102 or you must have a REALLY GOOD understanding of binding basics.
In this class we build on the Basics of Binding. We will talk curved edges and how to work with them. We will learn how easy flanged binding can be.
