Classes
You can now register for any class right here on our website. If you find a class you like, just click on reserve your seat to purchase. You can still register by coming into the shop. If you have any questions, feel free to call us at 801-692-7127 or send us an email to tiawna@thequilterscrossing.com.
Patterns are required for every attendee of a class using a pattern.
Classes are non-refundable. Depending on circumstances, classes may be able to be rescheduled, but no refunds will be given after registration. If we cancel a class, you will receive a full refund of the class fee that you paid. Classes with less than 3 people registered may be rescheduled or canceled.

Open Sew
Join us for an Open Sew! Bring your projects, sew alongside friends, and make some new ones, too. Your $5 non-refundable reservation holds your spot, but you can apply it toward any purchase made during the Open Sew—so it’s essentially free!

Bag SOS: Finish It! Workshop

Stuck on a bag project and not sure how to move forward? Bring it to our Bag SOS: Finish-It! Workshop! This session is designed specifically for students who have already started their bag and need a little guidance to overcome tricky steps, confusing instructions, or stalled momentum.
Please note: this workshop is not for starting a new bag or working on bags currently offered as classes in our shop. Students should arrive with their project already underway and a good idea of where they need help.
Our instructor will offer hands-on support, troubleshooting, and encouragement to help you get your bag finished with confidence! Bring your in-progress bag, pattern, and any supplies you need—let’s get you unstuck and back to sewing success.

Open Wide 2.0

Quick and fun to make, these bags in three sizes open wide for easy access to all your supplies. Binding on the easy-to-install zipper finishes the upper edges and forms a handle and grab tab. Two inner mesh pockets keep things organized and easy to view. Soft and Stable® provides great body and stability and ensures that the bags stand up and hold their shape. Slip these classy zippered bags in your suitcase — or use them to maximize the space on your vanity.

Beginning Quilting
8 Consecutive Weeks
Wednesdays starting January 21st

Instructor: Janet Hansen
Learn how to cut your fabric and achieve the correct seam allowance. Eight different blocks will be taught in the eight week class. Each class lasts 3 hours. We will be sewing in the class and you will need to sew some blocks at home. You will be provided with a video tutorial for additional help at home. The quilt measures 72” x 84”.

Flying Geese Pouch

Linked Hearts

This is a beginning paper piecing class. It is an all day class. We will not finish the entire quilt in class but you will get a good understanding of how to paper piece the units needed for this quilt.

Patchwork Quilted Bow

This Patchwork Quilted Bow is beginner friendly. Make this beautiful quilted bow that's full of texture, charm and cozy handmade detail. It is perfect for holiday decor, wreaths, nursery accents, and more.
You can register for the optional Prep Class where you will learn how to use the easy piecing grid so that you can get your prep work done before class. No machines or materials needed. Lisa will just walk you through and demonstrate how to use the easy piecing grid if you don't already know how. And may also give tips on any additional prep work needed for the class.

Two Little Totes

This versatile pattern includes instructions for creating simple-to-make totes in two compact sizes. They're the perfect size for daily use, shopping, carrying a craft project, and more. The wide openings of these totes make it easy and pack and access your essentials while a variety of slip and zippered pockets inside and out make it easy to organize contents. Sturdy over-the-shoulder handles provide comfortable carrying and the reinforced base offers durability and reduces wear and tear. The easy-to-install zipper closure keeps contents secure. And, when opened, it falls flat against the tote for full access to the interior.

Sewing 101 - Applique

Quilted Jacket

Create a stylish, cozy, and completely custom quilted jacket in this special class taught by Paula McKinlay—the designer of the pattern itself! Whether you’re new to garment sewing or looking to expand your quilting skills, this class is the perfect blend of creativity and expert instruction.

All The Things Tote

A simple tote bag perfect to carry anything and everything on your next road trip, beach trip, grocery store outing and more! Features a large opening with two end panel pockets.
Use decorative webbing or make your own handles with your favorite fabric. Pattern includes three sizes.

Quilted Sneakers
Saturday, March 7th from 10 am to 4 pm
Instructors: Kendyl Pinnock and Tiawna Lucas
This 6-hour class will take you through all the steps to help you make you your very own pair of quilted sneakers. You will provide your own fabric, stabilizer, soft & stable, and shoelaces.
Supplies Needed: We used three fat quarters (sides, tongue and inside) and for the patchwork shoes we used a charm pack, two fat quarters and the easy piecing grid by Ten Sisters. You will also use soft and stable in all shoes. You will use SF101 (fusible woven stabilizer) for the non-patchwork shoes. Stiletto or awl REQUIRED.
Sneaker Kit included in the class fee.
Please register early! Registration will close February 1st for the March class. Please discuss shoe sizes with a member of our team so that we can get you the best fit possible. Sneaker kits cannot be exchanged or returned.

Bowl Me Over

This fun-to-make bag features a classic bowler silhouette with easy-to-grab handles and an adjustable, detachable carrying strap. The main compartment opens wide for easy access to the bag's contents. Keep everything organized with three elasticized slip pockets and a full-height zippered mesh or fabric pocket on the inside. The exterior features a full-height zippered pocket made of quilted fabric on the back and a quilted pocket on front that closes with a magnetic snap flap.

Double Zip Gear Bag

Perfect for toiletries, electronic gear, shoes, and more, these functional bags in three sizes will keep you well-groomed and organized. The double-zippered top opens easily for full access to the roomy interior. Two exterior zippered pockets and two interior slip pockets keep things neat and organized. A sturdy handle on one end makes carrying easy.

Weekend Sling Bag
